Your “Desired Lifestyle”

I received an email today from Derek Sivers who is living a Permanent-Traveler Lifestyle which means he doesn’t own a house and has lived all over the World as a result of Giving his Gifts to the World as a opposed to focusing only his “Local” community. I’ve always admired Derek for his focus on Lifestyle (How he Lives & Works) instead of things and the fact that he always responds to my emails no matter what side of the planet he’s on! Please take a moment to view his recent post and feel free to leave a comment on his site:

Derek says “You don’t have to be local”

I hope this will inspire you to “Create” a Business that is in alignment with your “Desired Lifestyle” whether that is providing a Service/Product to your Local Community or taking that leap towards the “Global Community”.

A Must Read for African American Entrepreneurs looking to be the next Facebook

I received this article last night from my Best Bud and it says so much and more that I’ve tried to tell African American Entrepreneurs that have come to me looking for Funding and don’t have any traction (sales, followers, etc).

“Greed Trumps Race” Article

After reading this article it should be clear what the proper steps are in regards to building a successful business in spite of one being of the darker persuasion! Dr Paul is the Man!

International Rainmaker for Social Change…

Well my website was down (actually hacked) for about three weeks and it gave me some precious time to think about what my Gifts are and how I can give them to the World! It was revealed to me that my love of Deals and helping Business Owners as well as my desire to Co-Create a New Sustainable World all come together in 5 simple words: “International Rainmaker for Social Change”.

This is in total alignment with my Mission and Passions in life. Coming to a quiet place to allow God to reveal what is inside You is an amazing successful technique probably as old as time itself and one we should all utilize from time to time. So take a moment right now, go find a quiet place (turn off all telephonic communication devices) and feel what it’s like to spend a little time with God and Yourself. I recently met someone that practices meditation every morning something I shall take on myself and shortly after that my website was restored, coincidence “I think not”!

Have a Fabulous Friday!

Entrepreneurs are Our Future

I had the Opportunity yesterday to be invited to an event at the Atlanta Urban League where I was privileged to hear the stories of Small Business Owners on how they got started and how they overcame various obstacles to actually have their business support them! These are true Entrepreneurs and I congratulate them for their courage and tenacity to move forward in spite of what life had thrown their way. It is my understanding that one couple was homeless and it was their Business that got them off the streets (can you say Tyler Perry). Please read that last sentence again, watch the below video and I must say they have the best Damn Pickle I have ever tasted in my entire Life!

Jamaican Hots “Da Pickles Be Jammin”

I’m encouraged because I know that Entrepreneurs are the key to a Successful Future for America and the World. So, if you have an idea for a Business please do us all a favor: Take that Dream and make it a reality. I like to call Entrepreneurship simply “Giving Your Gifts to the World”!

Thank you for your valued time and if you need a little assistance in getting that idea off the ground send me an email and I can direct You to the appropriate sources and you can always contact Marc Parham at the Atlanta Urban League for Technical Assistance.

Daymond John @ Pitch the Shark in Atlanta!

This was an amazing event for several reasons, but what really jumped out at me was the People who attended actually got to hear the “Truth” of what it takes to make it in Business and Life. I actually ran into a few friends that I had not seen in years and after hearing their business ideas I was happy that they spent a few dollars to learn from a true Visionary!

Daymond gave so many Nuggets of Wisdom that I was tempted to jump and shout “AMEN”, but those of you who know me are aware that I’m a Calm Cool Collected Dark Dashing Gentleman who rarely displays such outburst of emotions. The Man was honest and strait forward which is refreshing to see because I often get these strange looks when I tell people they’re not ready to Pitch anyone or they have grossly over estimated what their idea is really worth.

When you have a moment please go to Daymond’s Website learn all you can, buy all his books and then “apply” what you have learned to your situation and there’s a good chance you will have Success. Even if you don’t succeed that first time out you will have learned so much that it increases you odds for Success on that next venture or tweaking your current one.

I thank Daymond for take the time out of his busy schedule to give some clarity to those individuals who were really listening!

How to Pitch to Investors

I Love helping People make their Dreams a Reality in the Business World and I’m often approached for  ”Funding” from Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs seeking to Expand their Territory! When they “Pitch” me I’m often disappointed because they obviously didn’t take the time to fully prepare themselves by looking at their Opportunity from the Investors Perspective. Investors often look at the “Team”, what skin You have in the Game and if you have the Special Something that they Believe You can pull this off!

Now I really don’t have to go into much more detail because you can learn so much from simply watching “Shark Tank”!

“The Shark Tank Videos”

To learn a little bit about what it takes to make that Dream of Yours a Reality I highly suggest watching the below Video featuring Daymond John:

For those of you in Atlanta or the Southeast for that matter get your butt to this Event this Friday in Atlanta:

You need Funding?

I was on a Start Up Forum yesterday and a young gentlemen was asking about acquiring Funding for his online business and what percentage of his company he should offer to the Angel Investors that would fund his new idea. He said he got his Business License and set up his LLC and was now ready to get funding. I have had many people approach me with a great idea and asked me to locate them funding and I often tell them that my funding sources require experience and want to see that you’ve put forth the effort to at least have some type of sales and/or followers.

My suggestion is to go to your local Angel Investor Network and watch “Shark Tank” to get an idea of Projects that actually get funding!

If you’re in Georgia check out ACE Loans!

Of course if you need additional assistance I’m always willing to help if my schedule permits and you meet my criteria that can be found on my Welcome page. Wishing you Success in your Quest!

Everything you Desire…

Everything You Desire is in the Unknown!

It took me a while to get this one, but once you get it your world begins to change in a big way. Successful People have utilized the skill of stepping into the “Unknown” since the beginning of time (I think) and it is one of the major factors to their Success. You may not agree with the title of this post, but if you take a moment to think about it when you were born everything you learned up to this point was “Unknown” to you but you had a yearning Desire to Know more about this great Experience we call Life.

As many of you Desire “Freedom” by starting or expanding your business please realize that everything you “Know” has you right where you are and thus everything You Desire (More Customers, Funding, Automated Systems, etc.) is in the “Unknown”. This is a good thing because once we realize this simple concept you can start practicing stepping into the Unknown and getting comfortable living in this space and experience a life of Miracles.

So, Ask yourself what is it I Desire and just as important what is it I Fear and then boldly step forward in that direction. An example is if you need funding put together a plan and attend networking events that were created to help small businesses, make contacts, set meetings and ASK for what you Desire. If you have a Film/Screen Play get your Business Entity set up go to Kickstarter or Indiegogo and start telling the world about your amazing Project and learn from the feedback you receive as well as rejoice in receiving the Funding to make it a Reality.

Over the years I have learned to practice continually living in the Unknown and I sometimes forget, but one thing that keeps me moving forward is listening to my intuition and saying YES to as many Opportunities that align with my Desired Destination no matter how frightening it may be. Hope this post finds you in Health & Happiness and may God grant You the Desires of your Heart!

A Start-up means “Start”!

There are many people out there starting New Businesses giving their Gifts to the World and this is definitely a great time to do so. I run into would be Entrepreneurs all the time who have a great idea, but have not made it a reality because they say they need a certain amount of cash to get it off the the ground. Often times not having the Cash is an “excuse” not to take the next step on your journey, ask yourself if you lost your job what would you do today to make your business real.

This brings me to the title of this post:

A Start-up means “Start”!

The key point is the definition of “Start” and your definition may mean: writing your idea down on paper, writing a business plan, getting business cards, telling people about you great world changing idea or any other “preparations”. My definition of “Start” is bringing in the CASH for Your Idea because you are in business to provide value to your customers who in turn gladly give you their appreciation in the form of Money! If you concentrate on providing value to your customer and getting that 1st check things start to change in your favor rather rapidly. I myself reserved the name Acquisitionist.com about 6 years ago but did not concentrate on receiving that 1st payment and as a result nothing happened even thou I had a website (no contact info thou???). Once I recommitted myself to helping as many people as possible by getting the word out and actually helping people Acquire what they Desire the cash “Started” rolling in within weeks.

Hope this gives you a little boost to move forward and while you’re creating your Start-up you might as well:
